News/Currently:

-January 2nd, 2026: Currently working on the “BTIC42008” and “BTIC42009”. Work will soon start on the “BTIC25015”. Have updated the webpage with a complete catalog of all the media from our previous builds. All the photos and video previews we have made, for anyone looking for inspiration.

-December 4th: The “BTIC20001” was finally delivered to a happy client. The “BTIC42007” and “BTIC25012” have since a while back been delivered and the “BTIC25013” is finished and awaiting shipment. The “BTIC25014” is en route. Work has commenced on the “BTIC42008” and the “BTIC42009”, which will have a slimmer size than the regular 42. With the notes closer together, making it smaller and easier to transport. 
The workshop has temporarily relocated from Sweden to Spain as of a couple of days. Currently working on setting everything up in the new workshop. 

-October 27th: Was a while since updating the news. All the previous Cristals have been finished and shipped, except for the “BTIC20001” which is finished but awaiting delivery. Currently working on the “BTIC25013” & “BTIC25014”, one mid and one bass. Continue working on the chromatic chimes, as well as another Baschet inspired project.

-September 18th: Some new shows added. The “BTIC25011” is on its way. The custom “BTIC20001” is just about finished and ready for delivery. The “BTIC10011” in G-minor scale with mounted piezo mics is also just about finished and ready for shipping. Work continues on the 42 note “BTIC42007” and the “BTIC25012”. I’m also working on assembling the 25 note chromatic chimes.

-August 19th: Added the 4.5 octave, 54 note Cristal to the shop. Added a “Listen” page where one can discover some of the areas where the Bergtagna Instruments have been used. Also added a few upcoming shows with our live act under “Live: RMKS/CCLM”

-August 17th: The “BTIC10010” is finished and ready for shipping. The “BTIC25010” is just about finished and will be shipped in the coming week when work will begin on a 20-note Cristal with hand picked notes, the “BTIC20001” as well as the 25 note “BTIC25011” and the 10 note Cristal “BTIC10011” which will be tuned to a G-minor scale and have mounted piezo mics.

-July 22nd: The “BTIC10009” was picked up yesterday and the first 54 note “BTIC54002” (number 01 I’m keeping for myself) was personally delivered to it’s new home, where it will take it’s a place in a lovely old chapel in Sweden. The “BTIC25009” has been completed and shipped to a client in Taiwan. Soon I will be off to northern Sweden do display my instruments at Urkult festival. Work continues on the chromatic chimes and on a new 25 note Cristal “BTIC25010”.

-July 7th: The “BTIC25007” and “BTIC25008” have safely arrived. Currently working on the “BTIC25009” and the “BTIC10009”. As well as building a lot of steel tongue drums in various scales and a bigger set of Chimes that will be chromatically tuned. As well as another Baschet-inspired project. Also the first sold 54 note Cristal “BTIC54002” is set to be personally delivered shortly.

-June 12th:  The 24 note Cristal has been permanently upgraded with an extra “C” on the top. The price will remain the same.
Also added the Treble 25 note Cristal (C4-C6) to the shop. A perfect companion to the Bass 25 note Cristal (C2-C4).
The “BTIC25007” and “BTIC25008” are both finished and ready for shipping. 

-June 6th: The “BTIC42006”, “BTIC10007”, “BTIC10008”, “BTIC25005”, “BTIC25006” have all arrived in their new homes. Currently working on 2x 25 note Cristals: “BTIC25007” and “BTIC25008” which are just about finished and ready to be on their way.
And finally got to hand over the “BTIC24015” to my friend who inspired me to start building these instruments. Also have some gigs coming in for the performance part of this company “RMKS/CCLM” as well as working on an art show. And building a bunch of hankdrums for this years festival markets.

-May 2nd: The “BTIC42006” is set to arrive any day, the “BTIC24016”, “BTIC25003” and the “BTIC25004” have all arrived in their new homes. The “BTIC24015” is finished as well as the “BTIC54002”. Currently working on two 10 note Cristals (BTIC10007 and BTIC10008), one in a pentatonic scale (with A=432Hz) and one in a harmonic D-minor scale. Also working on 2x 25 note Cristals that are built as a duo to go together. The “BTIC25005” with a range from C2 – C4, and the “BTIC25006” with a range from C4-C6.

-Apr 6th: The “BTIC42006” is ready to ship, the “BTIC24014”, “BTIC42005” and the “BTIC25002” have all safely arrived to happy clients and the “BTIC24016” is on its way. Making the finishing touches to the “BTIC54002” before it’s ready for delivery. The “BTIC24015” is also just about finished. Have started work on the “BTIC25003” as well as the “BTIC25004”.

-Mar 17th: The “BTIC42005” has safely arrived to a happy client, and the “BTIC24014” is set to arrive in the coming week. The finishing touches are being made to the “BTIC42006” and to the special “BTIC25002” as well as the “BTIC24015”. Work has commenced on the “BTIC24016” and I’m continuing work on the 54 note Cristal “BTIC54002” with tonal range “B1-E6”. This is in fact the 2nd 54 note, the first has the tonal range “C2-F6”. Photos and videos of these will come when I have the time.
Also made some updates to the webshop, sorted out some shipping issues and swapped out some photos. Also added the possibility to choose between a matte finish or mirror polished finish to the metal diffusers if you purchase a 42 note Cristal. And added the 24 note Bass Cristal to the shop. It is built one octave lower than the mid-24. Due to the bigger diffusers necessary for this instrument, the shipping cost is unfortunately bigger than the standard mid-24. 

-Feb 28th: The “BTIC24013” has been delivered, the “BTIC24014” is just about finished and ready to embark on its journey. The “BTIC42005” (tuned to A=443Hz) is packed up and will head out today. Work continues on the “BTIC42006” as well as the recently started project “BTIC25002” which is a 25 note Cristal (24 + extra C) which will be a special one. Also working on the “BTIC24015” which I am super happy to have started on, it will be a present for a friend, who was the one that turned me on to the Cristal Baschet from the beginning. 
And also working on a 54 note Cristal which is very exciting. In the coming week work will also commence on the “BTIC24016”. 
-Jan 23rd: The “BTIC24011” has safely arrived to a happy client. Work continues on the “BTIC42005” and the “BTIC42006”. Work has also begun on another 24 note, the “BTIC24013” and in the coming week the work on a 24 note (BTIC24014), one octave down from the regular, will begin. Also have a bunch of fun and weird projects that hopefully will take place this year.
-Jan 7th: The “BTIC24011” (built before the 12, but sold after) will be shipped to a client today. Construction has started on the 42 note “BTIC42005” and the “BTIC42006”. Secret project had to be put on hold for a bit to work on orders.
-Dec 11th: The “BTIC24012” has been delivered to a happy client and the secret project is just about finished and will be shown to a potential client in the coming days. Preparations are being made to start on 2x 42 note Cristals: the “BTIC42005” and the “BTIC42006”. One of them will be tuned to A=443Hz. Also received news that we have been awarded a grant to create an exhibition in Sweden in 2025 that will be based around our instruments, very exciting times!
-Nov 25th: The “BTIC24012” is just about ready to be shipped, the “BTIC10006” has been delivered, and the secret project is coming along nicely. 
-Nov 7: The 24 note “BTIC24010” has been shipped and safely arrived in its new home. The 42 note “BTIC42004” also has been shipped and arrived safely. Have begun work on the 24 note “BTIC24012” and finishing up the “BTIC24011” and the “BTIC10006”. Also continuing work on one secret project, set to be finished around mid-December.
-Oct 17: The 42 note “BTIC42004” is packed up and ready for shipping. Working on the 24 notes “BTIC24010”, the “BTIC24011” and the 10 note “BTIC10006”. Booked for a live performance with RMKS / CCLM on November 2nd in Malmö, Sweden.
-Sep 30: Starting work on 2x 24 Note Cristals, the “BTIC24010” & “BTIC24011”. As well as a 10 Note Cristal “BTIC10006”. The “BTIC24009” is on its way to its new home. 
-Sep 17: Updates to the info page on website.
-Sep 6: Started building the 42 Note Cristal “BTIC42004”, set to be finished mid-October.
-Sep 3: The first bass 24 Note Cristal (C2 – B3) “BTIC24009” packed up and ready for shipping to client.
