Bergtagna Chimes: Capileira

The Bergtagna Chimes “Capileira” is a 6 note Chimes/Tubular Bells instrument.
It is tuned in a variety of the scale D-Phrygian with the notes:
D – Eb – G – A – Bb – d

It is tuned using equal temperament, with A=440Hz. But we are always open to using other frequencies as per your requirements.
As it is tuned to a scale it’s very easy to play as all notes go together.
The instrument stand can easily be assembled in a standing position, or lying down for increased playability.

The name comes from the village “Capileira” in Andalucía, Spain which inspired this particular scale. It is the top village of three villages located in the Poqueira valley on the south side of Sierra Nevada, at the foothill of the highest mountain of the Iberian peninsula, Mulhacén (3482m).
